Like the Old man of the sea, this Pelican looks over the ocean in its proud pose. The contrasting reds, warm crest of the feathers of the head and deep tones of the birds neck feathers, really stand out. Created by Clint Eagar on a textured coastal grey blue background, the piece blends wonderfully together. The fine detail of the birds skin on the throat and around the eye, is well captured in its technique.
